Stephen ShiellStephen is a sound artist, performer and composer of electroacoustic music, working with sound and site-specificity.

He explores social, political and physical landscapes through sound, re-interpreting and re-imagining, using techniques of field recordings, assemblage, found objects, digital processes and improvisation. He has performed internationally and in the UK, from a Herring Museum in Iceland to a steam ship in the Pool of London.

He composes and performs as a solo artist, and as a founding member of choral soundscape collective Breathing Space, and experimental duo Blanc Sceol, also the founder of sonic art project Lugus.
The improvisations are a continuous landscape of noise impressions.
