jamie-bannerJamie is a Freelance Curator & Artist based in Kendal.

Musically he is most notably connected with ‘The Musical Stones of Skiddaw’: a 13ft long, 1.5 tonne antique xylophone made out of stone which is housed in Keswick Museum & Art Gallery. He has given talks on the history of this curious instrument and played the Musical Stones with other percussionists in concerts across the country including at the Liverpool Biennial, The Sage Gateshead and The Royal Festival Hall. He played the Stones with cult American musician and artist Brian Dewan for several years and appeared on Brian’s 2008 album ‘Ringing at the Speed of Prayer

He also enjoys playing bluegrass music roughly in the back of pubs on the guitar, ukulele and harmonica and singing slightly off-key.
