I have been working on a new sound design job for Heron Corn Mill in Beetham. It is for a community play called Spin Off, written by Audrey Steeley. Rehearsals are going really well with 70% of the sound done the rest should be done by early next week.
The play also features new songs written by April Maybe May who will be perfoming in the play.
The year is 1969. The long hot summer of love is the backdrop to this play set in a small Lakeland Bobbin mill. The sharp decline of a rural industry is accelerated by the coming of plastic. A group of workers face an uncertain future -and they all have secrets they can no longer keep. The toilets provide a place for rumour, refuge and revelation …
