Sonic Landscapes was a sound installation created by 15 young people from Ulverston and Barrow, during a series of digital art workshops in the summer of 2011. The young people worked with myself and artist Fern Oxley.
The Sonic Landscapes installation was in Abbot Hall Park in Kendal as part of Mintfest 2011. The young people created eight different soundscapes to reflect eight different emotions. The installation used free and cheap technologies to produce an 8 channel installation with each channel portraying a different emotion.
This partnership has been a partnership between Lanternhouse, Nacro, Connexions Cumbria, Lakes Alive and artlocatesme.
